On Friday 27 January a group of our Year 10 students were invited to South West College, Omagh, for their Observation Day.  We began with a presentation about the courses available, then divided into two groups to have a tour around the facilities.  We saw some of our Year 12 students in action, and heard from all the tutors about the courses.  We were very impressed with the facilities, and how each department mirrors a real-life working environment.  Plumbing, electrical, digital technologies, hair dressing, beauty, agriculture, joinery, and vehicle maintenance…all were on show for us to see. We ended with a quick bite in the Bistro Cafeteria before coming back to school.  It gave our Yr10 lots to think about and was a great help as they prepare for next year and make their pathway choices.
